This new filter fits many LG side-by-side refrigerators that have built-in elongated water filters. Please compare the model numbers shown with your current built-in water filter. They improve both the smell and taste of the filtered water!
 
On the manufacturer's recommendation, the water filter should always be replaced when:

    the warning light on your refrigerator lights up (depending on type),
    the refrigerator has not been used for several weeks, or
    every 6 months at the latest  

Replaces the following models:

LG LT600P refrigerator filter and 5231JA2005A and 5231JA2006A).

Please note

The LG filter compatible does not fit for refrigerators that have an external water filter. According to the appliance manufacturer's recommendation, you should always replace the water filter when:

the corresponding warning light on your refrigerator lights up (depending on the model)
the refrigerator has not been used for a long time
if the water smells or becomes cloudy
or at least every 6 months to be on the safe side.
