"Microfilter" is one of the world's leading refrigerator filter manufacturers, producing water filters for many well-known companies such as Samsung and LG. During production, each filter is tested for leaks using compressed air. The water filter is made of high quality and food safe materials. Of course this filter is certified according to NSF Standard ANSI 42.

The connections are so called "Quick Connect Fittings". These were already installed in the cartridge during production. The hose ends only have to be inserted into the filter openings up to the stop. The closures secure automatically and the replacement is done in a few seconds. No sealing is necessary, thus you get an increased security against water damages.

This water filter is not, like most filters, only filled with activated carbon granulate, but with an activated carbon block with 5µm filter fineness.
Suspended matter larger than 5µm micron (5 thousandths of a millimetre) is retained, such as suspended particles and micro-sediments such as rust, sand, lime particles, etc.
The high-quality activated carbon made of real coconut shells reduces mechanical impurities, chlorine, pesticides, heavy metals and many organic chemicals.

These filters are among the best on the market. You get them at a very favourable price-performance ratio. These high quality filters are not comparable with loose cheap activated charcoal shells.

This filter fits all refrigerator models that have an external water filter. The external water filters are installed in the 6 mm plastic hose (1/4") which is connected to the cold water pipe.

Filter change
According to the appliance manufacturer's recommendations, you should always replace the water filter when

the corresponding warning light on your fridge lights up (depending on the model),
the refrigerator has not been used for a long time,
in case of odour or turbidity of the water,
or as a precaution according to the TwVo at least every 6 months, even if the filter has a higher capacity!
