A word about cheap water filters for SBS fridge on the Internet
Many customers are delighted to find a replacement filter on the Internet at a fraction of the normal price. It is easy to order the 2, 3 or 6 pack. The goods arrive, everything looks good, the filter is connected and the seller gets a good rating. After a few weeks, then the mishap: the filter has burst and the kitchen is under water. The supposedly cheap purchase is paid dearly afterwards. Can that really happen? We actually have such a case. How could it happen? Recently, more and more cheap filters from Asia or Eastern Europe are appearing on the market that do not meet German quality standards. Apart from the lower pressure resistance, there is also the risk of purchasing filters with cheap activated carbon fillings made of bitumen. The absorption rate here is much lower than with activated carbon from coconuts. So do not save at the wrong end, it could be expensive. Only buy from specialist dealers who only offer water filters and are familiar with the material. If the seller has many other articles of a different kind on offer, we advise caution. Technical data of the filters: 

Flow rate: 283 litres / 24h, max pressure: 6,0 bar, max temperature: 45 degrees Celsius / life time: 6 months / up to 7700 litres. According to the Drinking Water Ordinance (DIN 1988), all drinking water filters must be replaced after 6 months (to prevent microbial contamination), even if the filter has a larger capacity.

Mode of operation: 

 The filters clean the water from rust, chlorine, organic compounds and sediments. Besides the activated carbon, the filter has sediment filter inserts. The result is a significant improvement in taste. Hardly any sediments in the water and ice system of your fridge.
